Artisanal Chestnut Honey from France 220g
Mellidor Chestnut Honey is harvested in France, in Gard, bordering Ardèche. This honey is a connoisseur's delight, renowned for its robust and lingering flavours with a slight hint of bitterness. Its pronounced, woody aroma evokes the essence of chestnuts. It has a liquid consistency and a deep, dark brown hue.
It prides itself with high concentration of vitamins B and C, potassium, manganese and magnesium, which really help improve blood circulation.
Chestnut honey comes from the flowering of the tree of the same name: the chestnut tree! The flowering takes place towards the end of June and lasts about fifteen days. The chestnut honey harvest is therefore done during the month of July once the bees have foraged the chestnut flowers.

Our recommendation:
It's a kitchen superstar with its unique flavour and aroma. Its liquid texture makes it easy to blend into your dishes and granting them a hint of woodiness. Perfect as a natural alternative to white sugar or toppings, this organic nectar elevates every dish: spread it on toast or add it to your morning brew. It's a must-have for gingerbread and adds flair to drinks like tea and coffee. Get creative — drizzle it over salads or use it in marinades. Honey, it's time to savor the sweetness of chestnut!
About Artisans:
Founded in 1976 by a buzzing couple of Avignon beekeepers, "Mellidor" resides at the heart of Provence, in Le Thor, nestled in Vaucluse. They are a petite, local, and familial outfit, specialising in bee products from Organic Agriculture.Their operation is pure artisanal magic, as everything is done by hand, sans assembly line. The company is run by three "bees", who split equally all the duties of running this lovely establishment. Their honey never exceeds hive temperature (around 38 degrees Celsius), and there's no mixing involved, meaning: 1 apiary = 1 barrel of honey = the batch number you'll spot on their pots.
